the fine print read the shirt. then read this.
terms of service for iletmyshirtsdothetalking.com, operated by The Yes Collective ("us", "we"). last updated june 11, 2026. by buying a shirt you agree to all of this; the act of paying is your signature.
1. what this is
you type words, we render them onto a t-shirt design, a third-party print partner (Printful) prints and ships the physical shirt, and a third-party payment processor (Stripe) handles your payment. we sell one product: a custom text tee. that's the whole deal.
2. your words are yours — and on you
you are the author and publisher of whatever you put on a shirt. by placing an order you promise that:
- you have the right to use the words you submit — they don't infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, publicity, or other rights;
- the shirt is for lawful use;
- you're at least 18, or have a parent/guardian's permission.
you grant us (and our print partner) a limited license to reproduce your words exactly as needed to render, print, ship, and show you the shirt — nothing more. we don't claim ownership of your words and we don't reuse them to sell shirts to other people.
3. content policy: free speech, with a floor
we believe in saying the thing. swear, be weird, be petty, be political, roast your friends — that's the point of the shirt. but we will refuse, cancel, and refund any order, at our sole discretion, whose text is:
- hateful conduct: attacking or demeaning people for who they are — race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, and the like;
- harassment or threats aimed at a person;
- incitement to violence, or glorification of violent extremism;
- sexual content involving minors, in any form (reported, not just refused);
- unlawful where we'd print or ship it, or designed to defraud (fake credentials, counterfeit branding);
- someone else's intellectual property — brand logos, song lyrics, someone's name used to imply endorsement.
refusing an order is not an endorsement of everything we don't refuse. printing a shirt means we took your money to put your words on cotton, not that we agree with you. if we cancel under this policy you get a full refund and we keep the right to not do business with you again.
4. custom shirts are final sale
every shirt is made for you after you order, so we can't restock it — all sales are final, and we don't do returns or exchanges for choosing the wrong size, the wrong colour, or words you regret (we've all been there). typos are printed exactly as typed; the live preview is the proof.
if the shirt arrives misprinted, damaged, or doesn't arrive at all, that's on us: contact us within 30 days of delivery (or expected delivery) and we'll reprint it or refund it.
5. payments, pricing, shipping
- payments are processed by Stripe; your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers.
- the price is what the button says, in US dollars, shipping to US addresses included. US only for now.
- fulfillment and delivery are performed by Printful; delivery estimates are estimates.
6. privacy: we barely know you
we run no accounts, no ad trackers, no analytics, and no marketing database. the complete list of what exists:
- shirt links. if you share a shirt, the words + colour + size are stored so the link works. don't put secrets in a shirt link.
- order details. your shirt text, size, shipping address, and email live inside Stripe (payment) and Printful (printing + shipping), under their privacy policies. we can see them there because we have to fulfill your order.
- print files. the rendered artwork for a paid order is kept so the printer can fetch it and so we can reprint a defective shirt.
- support messages. if you write to us, we keep the message so we can answer it.
your email is used to send your receipt and shipping updates — no newsletters, no spam, never sold.
7. no warranties, capped liability
the site and the shirts are provided "as is" and "as available." to the maximum extent the law allows: we disclaim all warranties, express or implied; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; and our total liability for anything arising out of these terms or your order is capped at the amount you paid us for that order.
8. you cover us for your words
if someone brings a claim against us because of the words you chose to print — infringement, defamation, anything — you agree to indemnify us: you'll cover the losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees that claim causes us. the shirt does the talking; you do the answering.
9. housekeeping
- we can update these terms; the date at the top is the version. the terms in force when you order are the ones that apply to that order.
- if a piece of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
- these terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where The Yes Collective is based, without regard to conflicts of law.
10. talk to us
